I had been scouting locations for a couple weeks for my Mother's Day Minis, and I found this location with some great spots, I arrived for the session and was even happier about all the greenery and gorgeous white blooms that had come in on the trees, in just the past week! I am looking forward to all of my mother’s day minis this weekend, so far I have 13 scheduled and a couple pending!
I held my first year of Easter minis in the studio, and am so happy with how my backdrop turned out. I used a Fancy Fabrics Floor mat, Hobby Lobby faux Grass that I cut in half, a Michael’s Carrot Banner, and Hobby Lobby greenery, 2 moss bunnies, and some carrots from Hobby Lobby as well. A couple of the kids also held my Boyd’s Bear stuffed bunny that I use for my newborns.

Read MoreThis is the second year I have captured these three at Whitetail Tree Farm. I think that we have started a tradition and I absolutely love it! We got super lucky with great warm weather (for winter at least) and captured such loving photos of Bradley, Heather, and Malachi. Malachi has grown up just in the past year, I love growing with my clients and being able to capture them growing as a family.

In my head this was such an unrealistic DREAM that I never thought it would actually happen. I assumed that I would be 30/40 years old with kids before I would actually be able to do it, if I could even do it then! After several months of looking at places to rent or buy and nothing seemed to be "just right", I found a space that needed a lot of work but it was PERFECT! After a lot of hard work from Dean, Cory & JR... I HAVE A STUDIO SPACE and a waiting room is in the works! I am so happy with how it turned out, I got to completely start from scratch and pick out the colors, trim, flooring, furniture, and design it to fit Kyla Jo Photography's style PERFECTLY! Thank you to my family who has pushed me and encouraged me to reach for my dreams, for all of the props that they have donated and to all of my clients who have helped me get here! I am so thankful for all of it! I now have an indoor studio space for newborns, children, headshots, pets, boudoir, and anything you can imagine! Read MoreAll four of my fur children have very unique personalities and I have always wanted to capture them together in a photograph. So this winter I decided to take "family" Christmas Photos in my in home studio. Let's just say they did not go as planned and it was probably hilarious to watch me try to herd all four of them. The only group photo I got is actually 5 different images merged into one, but I am happy that I captured the ones I did. Here is just a small sneak peek of all of the photos I got that day.
Read MoreI had met Andrea and her daughter Alayna at a craft bazaar, where I had a photo booth set up at, I had mentioned that Alayna was a spitting image of Andrea (but seriously they are twins). The three of them, Andrea's parents and sister also attended the photo session. They were all so easy to work with and the session went so smoothly. I look forward to working with this sweet family again in the near future!
